Asantehemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom III’s One-Week In Pictures

Asanteman honoured its late Queen, Her Majesty Nana Konadu Yiadom III, during the one-week observation.
The Kingdom was joined by leaders and sympathisers from across the country to mourn the revered traditional leader whose leadership was marked by wisdom, compassion, and a deep commitment to the preservation of Asante culture and traditions.
The event was held at the Bogyawe grounds of the Manhyia Palace on August 21, 2025, with Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, presiding as the chief mourner.
The sober moment was rich in culture and tradition.
It drew various dignitaries, including Vice President Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Former President John Agyekum Kufour, Former Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia and Former Second Lady Samira Bawumia.
Also present were IGP Christian Yohuno, Works and Housing Minister Kenneth Gilbert, Minister for Chieftaincy Ahmed Ibrahim, Ashanti Regional Minister Frank Amoakohene, former Energy Minister Matthew Opoku Prempeh, former Majority leader Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, politician Kennedy Agyapong and former Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Opare.
The officials of AngloGold Ashanti, Ghana Airports Company Limited, Royal Golf Club, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), the British High Commission, and many others also joined.
The burial rites of the Queen has been scheduled to begin on September 14 and end on September 18.
