Asantehemaa Dɔte Yie: Watch Spectacular Scene Of Crowd Entering Manhyia Palace On Day 3

The camera of Opemsuo radio has captured a spectacular scene of multitudes entering the Manhyia Palace for the third day’s burial rite of the Queen of the Asante Kingdom, Nana Konadu Yiadom III.

The Manhyia Palace is today expecting the attendance of members of the National House of Chiefs and Regional Houses, Ministers of State, Diplomatic Corps, Parliamentarians and MCEs & DCEs.

Traditional authorities and their entourages, as well as the general public, have flooded the Palace to await the coming of the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, who is the chief mourner.

Each traditional leader enters with their own signature of traditional performance and regalia.

The large crowd has so far been well managed by the security detail at the entrance.

The carefully planned burial rites, which started on September 15 with a series of activities, will come to an end on September 18.

Her Majesty will be buried on the last day at Breman Baamu.

Filing past is reserved to take place sequentially among dignitaries and the general public from September 15 to 18, between 5 am and 5 pm, except for the last day, when it will end at 11 am to make way for a burial service at 3 pm.

A key point to note is the institution of the restriction on outdoor movement effective 7 pm on September 18 to make way for the burial of Her Majesty.
