Asantehemaa Dɔte Yie: Former Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Honours Nana Konadu Yiadom III’s Memory

The Former Chief of Staff of the country’s Presidency, Hon Akosua Frema Osei Opare, has honoured the memory of the late Queen of the Asante Kingdom, Nana Konadu Yiadom III.
At the Manhyia Palace on September 17, 2025, she presented some dignifying items.
In her remarks, she reflected on how the late Queen treated her as a daughter and showered her with love.
“Nanahemaa treated me as a daughter,” she told the linguists as she presented her items.
She also used the occasion to commiserate with the Asantehene.
The carefully planned burial rites, which started on September 15 with a series of activities, will come to an end on September 18.
Her Majesty will be buried on the last day at Breman Baamu.
Filing past is reserved to take place sequentially among dignitaries and the general public from September 15 to 18, between 5 am and 5 pm, except for the last day, when it will end at 11 am to make way for a burial service at 3 pm.
A key point to note is the institution of the restriction on outdoor movement effective 7 pm on September 18 to make way for the burial of Her Majesty.
