Asantehemaa Dɔte Yie: Opemsuo Radio Staff Pay Last Respects to Nana Konadu Yiadom III

The staff of Opemsuo Radio, a subsidiary of the Ashanti Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), have paid their last respects to the late Queen of the Asante Kingdom, Nana Konadu Yiadom III.

Led by the General Manager of the radio station, Mr Melchizedek O. Boachie, the group humbly took its turn to file past the remains at the residence of the Queen.

This was on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, the third day of the four-day rites.

Meanwhile, a large number of people have lined up to pay their respects.

The carefully planned burial rites, which started on September 15 with a series of activities, will come to an end on September 18.

Her Majesty will be buried on the last day at Breman Baamu.

Filing past is reserved to take place sequentially among dignitaries and the general public from September 15 to 18, between 5 am and 5 pm, except for the last day, when it will end at 11 am to make way for a burial service at 3 pm.

A key point to note is the institution of the restriction on outdoor movement effective 7 pm on September 18 to make way for the burial of Her Majesty.
