Asante Kotoko Young Goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad Wins Overall Goalkeeper Of U-20 WAFU ZONE B Tournament
Asante Kotoko brilliant young goalkeeper, Ibrahim Danlad, has been adjourned as the goalkeeper of the WAFU Zone B tournament following sparkling performance exhibited in the just ended tournament.
Danlad, 18, kept all the tournament matches for the Black Satellites team to win the tournament.
Ibrahim Danlad kept two clean sheets and conceded two goals out of the four games.
The Porcupine Warriors goalkeeper is one of the few goalkeepers who have kept for all the junior National teams.
Other Ghana players who made it in the team of the tournament include Kobina Amoah and Precious Boah.
Ghana came from behind to beat Burkina Faso 2-1 and win the WAFU B U-20 Championship trophy at the Stade Charles De Gaulles in Porto Novo on Saturday.
The Black Satellites are through to the U-20 AFCON tournament in Mauritania next year.
The 2021 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations will take place from February 14 – March 4.
Ghana will be making her 12th appearance at the competition having won it 3 times in 1993, 1999, and 2009.
