Asante Kotoko Sets Date For Players And Technical Team To Undergo COVID-19 Test
Asante Kotoko SC Technical Staff and Players are set to undergo COVID-19 test ahead of a possible return of football in Ghana, Opemsuo.com can reveal.
Football has been halted over months following the outbreak of the novel COVID-19 pandemic in the country, causing the Ghana Football Association(GFA) to cancel 2019/20 season.
According to reliable sources, August 27, 2020, has been set for the entire team to undergo the mandatory COVID-19 test in line with the laid down protocols from FIFA and CAF.
President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, has hinted for the resumption soon.
However, Ghana FA has identified the first week in October as the tentative start date for the local football season.
And the Porcupines will have to return to training for the readiness of the players for both the local League and CAF Champions League.
The Porcupine Warriors will represent Ghana in the 2020/21 CAF Champions League competition.
