AMASS Appreciates Otumfuo

The Management of TI Ahmadiyya Senior High School (SHS) has expressed its heartfelt gratitude to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for his unwavering support and contributions to the school’s development.

The school’s leadership paid a courtesy call on the King on April 8, 2026, during the third Awukudae Festival to thank him for attending their 75th-anniversary celebration.

Speaking on behalf of the school, representatives recounted the institution’s history and the vital interventions by Occupants of the Golden Stool in pressing moments of the institution.

They highlighted numerous challenges they faced in establishing an interfaith school in 1950 and how Otumfuo Osei Agyemang Prempeh II, the current King’s predecessor, provided land and financial support for the construction of the school’s buildings and an administrative block.

“To honour him, we named our first dormitory after him.”

They acknowledged how support from the Manhyia Palace continued when the 16th Monarch took over.

His Majesty was honoured and appreciated with a clinic solely funded by Mr Alagbe Olusholam Lutherking, an old student of the 1969 batch.

The latest dormitory to be developed on campus, unveiled during the school’s 75th Anniversary, has been named after Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem, the 13th Queen of the Asante Kingdom, who is also the mother of the reigning King.

The school expressed appreciation to the King for gracing the anniversary to commission the 500-capacity state-of-the-art dormitory of excellence for the best female students about two weeks ago.

They also disclosed how Otumfuo directed the Asokwa MP to construct an Astro Turf to enhance the school’s capacity in sports.
