Alleged Theft Hits Black Stars Camp in Vienna Ahead of Austria Friendly

The Black Stars camp in Vienna has been rocked by an alleged theft just hours before their much-anticipated international friendly against Austria.
According to reports from Accra-based Sporty FM, cash and valuables worth up to $20,000 were stolen from the team’s base.
Further details indicate that the incident affected only the room of a single player, whose identity is still undisclosed, with no other members of the squad impacted.
The Ghana Football Association have yet to issue an official statement on the matter as the team continues its preparations for the highly anticipated clash.
Despite the unfortunate development, the Black Stars have remained focused on the task at hand. The team arrived in Vienna on Monday and have already held several training sessions.
Ghana will face Austria today, Friday, March 27, at the Ernst Happel Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 17:00 GMT (5:00pm). The friendly serves as an important test ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
