Alleged Exhumed Atta Mills Grave: Anyidoho Takes On Samuel Atta Mills
Samuel Koku Anyidoho, the person at the centre of the allegations that the grave of late and former President John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills has been exhumed, has responded to the allegations in a series of tweets.
Anyidoho, the Chief Executive Officer of the Atta Mills Institute, an NGO that is “not recognised by the family of the former president”, in explaining the renovation done on the tomb, also made a lot of allegations against the younger brother of the former president, Samuel Atta Mills.
On July 19, 2022, the family of Atta Mills, led by Samuel Atta Mills, addressed the press and expressed scepticism that the body of Atta Mills remains in the grave after the Coastal Development Authority and the Atta Mills Institute went ahead with the renovation works on the tomb of the former President without their consent.
But according to Anyidoho, they only replaced a black cardboard that “shamefully” covered the tomb with granite stones as part of the renovation works going on at the Asomdwee Park where Atta Mills was buried.
“Is it a crime to remove the dirty black cardboard that used to shamefully cover the grave of President Atta-Mills, and replace it with, granite stones?”.
In another tweet, he said, “Sammy Atta-Mills says I have stolen the body of President Atta-Mills??😅😅😅😅😅 Good night 😴”.
Allegations Against Samuel Atta Mills
Anyidoho alleges that the story in the public domain about how Atta Mills passed away is untrue and has challenged Samuel to produce the autopsy report of the former.
“Sammy Atta-Mills says I am a buffoon? I see! Let him produce the autopsy report of the late President Atta-Mills. Sammy Atta-Mills should tell us, what killed his brother. He says, his brother died in his hands: he should tell us how his brother died.”
“I am happy that Sammy Atta-Mills has opened the can of worms that I have been trying very hard not to open.”
“Sammy Atta-Mills has NEVER celebrated his brother; he wants me to tell the story of his wickedness towards his brother?”, another tweet said.
He also alleged that the submissions made by Samuel before the press are on partisan grounds.
“I will NOT use Asomdwee Park for partisan politics. It is a big shame that Sammy Atta-Mills has neglected the burial place of his brother, and is using the work the State is doing for dirty politics – in support of John Dramani Mahama.”
