We’re Running a 3-month Promotion- DStv on Sam George’s ‘Negotiated’ Offer

Sam George’s ‘renegotiated’ DStv offer has been described as a temporary promotional offer.

Labelled “We’ve Got You Promotion”, MultiChoice Africa said the promotion is the company’s gesture to give their customers even more value.

It explained that “New, active, and previously disconnected customers who are active during the promotion period on DStv will get to view one package higher than what they have paid for at no extra cost.”

This means that subscribers who pay for Compact Plus will get upgraded to Premium; Compact subscribers will get upgraded to Compact Plus; Family subscribers will get upgraded to Compact; Access subscribers will get upgraded to Family; and Padi Package subscribers will get upgraded to Access.

It noted that once payment is made on an eligible package (excluding DStv Premium), a subscriber’s account will be upgraded.

“This promotion is to thank our loyal customers for their continued support and reward them with all the channels available on the highest package from their current package,” it added.

It noted that the said promotion will run from October 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025.

This contradicts earlier announcements by the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, that this was a permanent renegotiated arrangement with MultiChoice Africa to give Ghanaians value for money.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, commended MultiChoice for its goodwill.

“I went with a request for 30% but per what we have discussed here, the lowest is 33% and the highest is 50%. I extend my warmest gratitude to MultiChoice for their goodwill toward subscribers in Ghana.”

According to him, the increased value offer addresses the government’s concern and reduces pressure on Ghanaian households, while ensuring the sustainability of the DStv service in Ghana.
