Alex Segbefia, Ofosu Ampofo Land Appointments at Office of Vice President

Former Health Minister, Mr. Alex Segbefia and Former Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, have been given appointments at the office of Vice president, Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang.

The Presidency unveiled the 10-member staff of which six are women in a statement on January 28, 2025.

According to the Statement by the Acting spokesperson to the President, Felix Ofosu Kwakye, the appointments have been approved by the head of state and government.

Lawyer Segbefia will work as the Chief of Staff while Ofosu Ampofo will work as Political Adviser to the country’s first female Vice President.

Other appointments on the list were Mrs Alberta Graham, Head of Administration, Prof Theresah Ennin, Presidential Staffer and Personal Aide to the Vice President and Daniella Mavis Matthias, Secretary to the Vice President.

The rest were Prof Sharif Mahmud Khalid, Economic Policy Advisor, Dr Hamza Zakaria, Economic Policy Advisor, Ms Mansa Amoa Awuah, Finance Policy Advisor, Dr Miriam Rahinatu Iddrisu, Social Sector Policy Advisor and Maame Ama Pratt, Press Secretary.
