Alan’s Policy Plan Offers Solution to Ghana’s Plight- Asantehene

The Occupant of the Golden Stool, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has endorsed the policy plan of Independent Presidential Candidate, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen geared towards the transformation of Ghana’s fortunes.

He intends to implement them once elected into power by the people of Ghana on December 7.

During a courtesy visit to the Manhyia Palace on October 2, 2024, he introduced Kwame Owusu Danso as his Running Mate and informed the Asantehene about their clearance by the Electoral Commission to contest in the upcoming elections.

He also outdoored a summary of his policy plan which he said would solve eight outstanding challenges Ghanaians are facing in the country before the Asantehene and the Kumasi Traditional Council as he sought their prayers and blessings for victory in the elections.

“From my survey, seven out of every 10 Ghanaians have decided not to exercise their franchise this year and it is because they are tired of the NPP (New Patriotic Party) and the NDC (National Democratic Congress). The two have been at the helm of affairs for the past 32 years of the country’s history whose record should by now reflect on the country’s development. We are still reeling under economic challenges coupled with ascending corruption, unemployment rate, lack of proper drinking water and illegal mining.”

“We intend to do away with the ‘Winner take it all” practice and lack of continuity of public projects when elected into power. My government will introduce a national policy agenda so that party manifestos will be a thing of the past. Ghanaians are crying for change and that change is what I offer. We have a plan that will change Ghana, strengthen the cedi, increase revenue and regulate effective mining of minerals which will make chiefs Board of Trustees of the Minerals Commission. We also intend to make Nananom a central part of governance.”

He further highlighted the strength of the Ashanti Region in the country’s electoral decision that they support their “own”.

He added, “I won’t turn my back on Asanteman when elected.”

Alan believes he is the right man to lead Ghana into economic freedom and development.

Enhanced Campaign

The Divisions of the Kumasi Traditional Council welcomed the policy of the politician as sound.

Otumfuo-Ankobiahene, Baffour Kwame Kusi II however urged him to enhance the propagation of his campaign message to Ghanaians so they appreciate and subscribe to it.

“Many Ghanaians think voting for you is a waste of votes. This is because they have not yet heard your message and thereby lacks comprehension of what you intend to do. If you enhance your campaign message, they will abandon that mindset and go in to vote for you. Work at that.”

Alan was also counselled to stay true to his promises when elected.

“We know politicians. Their posture for votes is different from their posture once elected. Make sure you do as you have said if the elections go your way.”

The Council unanimously urged the Asantehene to bless the Independent Presidential Candidate and individually assured him of their prayers.

Panacea

Otumfuo in his submission vouched for the policy plan which was summarised verbally with its documented form presented to his Office.

He observed it summarises the country’s entire challenges and offers the needed solution.

“From what you have said, it is the panacea to the country’s long-standing socio-cultural and economic challenges. It will indeed change Ghana. I know you and if you have this good plan for the country, why won’t I give you my support?”

His Majesty sided with the Ankobiahene’s call for Alan’s message to be enhanced to reach all corners of the country and the ordinary Ghanaian.

“Maybe your message hasn’t been driven farther. It holds solutions to the country challenges so make sure it gets to all corners of the country. Propagate it effectively.”

Healthy Campaign

Otumfuo counseled him to he circumspect and measured in his utterance.

“Just focus on selling your message to Ghanaians and know that God is the kingmaker.”

Blessing

Otumfuo readily offered his blessings to the leader and founder of the Movement for Change.

“For the past 25 years, I have heard the policy plans of many people who seek to win power. Just like you, they come for my blessings. All I look forward to is development. You already have my blessings and I offer you my blessings once more today.”
