Akwatia By-election: My Victory Is a Done Deal- NDC Candidate

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for Akwatia Constituency, Bernard Bediako, has predicted his victory in the ongoing election, calling it a done deal.
His confidence emanates from signals and communication with electorates, he told the press after casting his vote.
He said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) officials on the ground are only seeking to maximise his victory margin.
“As for the win, it’s a done deal. We’ve been in the game for a while, so you can understand when it’s going well for you and when it’s not. I can tell you on authority that I have won the election.”
“Even before I said I would win. I never said so before campaigning, but after campaigning, I said so. These are people you engage. When you talk, they talk back at you, and you can make meaning out of anything, and I know what they have said.”
Fifty-three thousand three hundred and twenty-eight electorates are expected to cast their votes at 119 polling stations in the constituency to replace the late Parliamentary representative, Ernest Kumi, who passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025.
Bernard is contesting the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s Solomon Kwame Asumadu.
