Akufo-Addo Nominates DCE For Offinso North

The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has nominated Albert Sefa Boampong for the position of District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Offinso North Assembly.

This was communicated in a statement from the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development.

He will have to receive confirmation from the Assembly to make his appointment valid.

In view of this, Minister for Local Government, Dan Botwe, has directed him to liaise with the Regional Electoral Commission for the confirmation process.

His nomination comes five months after the District Chief Executive of the Assembly, Hon David Akwasi Asare Boakye passed away.

He died at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital on November 7, 2022.
