Akufo-Addo Counts Himself Lucky for Marrying Rebecca
Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has counted himself a lucky man after making the right choice in choosing a life partner following the demise of his first wife.
He celebrated former First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo on her 75th birthday celebration, held on March 12, 2026.
In a heartfelt tribute, he recounted how their 30-year marital journey began.
“I have been very lucky. At a time of difficulties for me, I met Rebecca Griffiths-Randolph, and that was 30 years ago.”
She described her as a rock and a wonderful companion, as he admired her love for his children.
“We have been together since then. She has been like a rock for me. Like all people together, we have our issues, especially on my side…She has been a wonderful companion and an exceptional mother to my five children.”
