Adum: Gas Explosion Near Hotel Leaves Two In Critical Condition

An LPG cylinder explosion at Adum in the Ashanti Region has left four injured, with two in a critical condition.

They are receiving medical attention at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the incident happened on Wednesday near Sanbra Hotel.

In a statement, it said an LPG leakage ignited from a nearby stove flame.

“Two civilians suffered minor injuries, while two others remain in critical condition at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.”

A six-member crew from the Metro Fire Station responded to contain the fire, which gutted one of seven shops.

It emphasised, “The Ghana National Fire Service urges strict adherence to LPG safety measures to prevent similar incidents.”
