Adubinsukesehene Enstools Ada Indigene As Nkosuohene

Ernest Narteh Afloe, an Ada indigene, has been enstooled as the new Nkosuohene of Adubinsukese by Nana Akwasi Asiedu, the Chief of Adubinsukese Traditional Area in the Afigya Kwabre South District of the Ashanti region.

The ceremony took place on May 1 at the Adubinsukese palace, where Nana Akwasi Asiedu blessed and advised the new Nkosuohene to be humble, hardworking, obedient, and respectful, and to join him in developing the Adubinsukese community.

In his speech, Nana Akwasi Asiedu highlighted the history of Adubinsukese and emphasised the need for more social amenities in the community. 

Notable dignitaries who attended the ceremony included Nene Obuapong IV, Osafoatse-ngua for Ada Adubiawe Clan of Ada Traditional Area, Hon Sarah Dabarkey Pobee, the District Chief Executive Officer of Ada East, members of the diplomatic corps, and Nananom, Togbewo, Mamawo, Nenemei ke Naamei.

During the ceremony, Mr. Ernest Narteh Afloe, who now goes by the name Nana Tatse Narteh Afloe, took an oath with a sword as Adubinsukese Nkosuohene. He expressed gratitude to Nana Akwasi for the opportunity to support his leadership as the new Nkosuohene of Adubinsukese.

He also urged the government and the international community to consider the role of traditional leaders in all developmental plans to address the specific needs of the people and entreated all parents to pay particular attention to the educational needs of their children and provide adequate support to them.

“The Adubinsukese community currently lacks several facilities, including secondary, vocational and technical schools, a university, teachers’ bungalows, a market, hospitals, security and safety posts, as well as financial institutions,” he said. 

Nana Tatse Narteh Afloe concluded by calling on sons and daughters of Adubinsukese to contribute in their own small way to ensure that the Adubinsukese Bretuo Traditional Area remains attractive for friends, both within Ghana and the diaspora, to invest in the development of the area.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Ada East, Hon Sarah Dabarkey Pobee, expressed her gratitude to Nana Akwasi Asiedu for the glorious event and urged everyone to be united and contribute to the development of the Adubinsukese community.

“This is the first time I have witness such a glorious event. I am also the first female District Chief Executive in the district to be elected by the President,” she added. 

Some Adubinsukese residents showed their support for the new Nkosuohene, expressing their gratitude and willingness to support him in his efforts to develop the community.
