Accra Lions Loan Dzigbah to Serbian Top-flight
Midfielder Emmanuel Dzigbah has secured a transfer to Serbian top-flight FK Čukarički on a one-year loan deal after catching the eye of the club during a friendly game against their youth team.
The club in a statement said they had to wait for him to turn 18 to sign an agreement with him after reaching an agreement with Accra Lions.
“We noticed this player when he and his club played a friendly match against our youth players, and then against Crvena Zvezda. In those matches, he made a serious difference, we reacted immediately and quickly reached an agreement with his club.
“We had to wait for him to turn 18 when that condition was met, he came to ÄŒukariÄki,” said Goran Grkinić, the Technical Director of Cucaricki.
His one-year loan deal is subject to an extended permanent deal.
In a brief statement confirming the transfer, Accra Lions wished him well on his next adventure.
“We are pleased to announce the immediate transfer of our midfielder Emmanuel Dzigbah to Serbian Superliga club FK Čukarički… We wish him the best of luck in his new challenge.”
Dzigbah made his debut in the 22/23 season and went ahead to make 27 Ghana Premier League appearances for the Lions.
