Accra International Conference Centre Closed to Public Events

Authorities have announced the temporary closure of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) to the public.

In a statement dated March 27, 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the measure takes effect immediately.

It noted that the closure is aimed at making room for the renovation of the facility.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to inform the general public of the temporary closure of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) with immediate effect to allow for scheduled renovation works aimed at ensuring the safety and long-term functionality of the facility.”

It plans to communicate a reopening date later, the statement said while apologising for the inconvenience caused.
