A/R: Water Supply In Kumasi Resumes

Water supply in Kumasi, Offinso and their environs has resumed after the Ghana Water Company (GWCL) announced a three-day water cut.
The Company cut water supply from the Barekese Water Treatment Plant earlier this week to make way for the installation of new interconnection pipelines and foot valves at the Suame roundabout vantage point.
In a statement on March 19, the company announced the successful completion of the exercise, emphasizing that it was necessary for reliable water supply in the course of the construction projects in the region.
“Notwithstanding the restoration of the water supply, we would like to inform our cherished customers that it may take a few hours for water pressures to stabilize across the network,” a part of the statement read.
According to the Company, there would be uneven water supply across with customers experiencing a service return shortly and others delayed as pressure levels build to optimal distribution levels.
Appreciating the patience of residents and the support of the regional minister, the company assured of its commitment to providing reliable water services to communities.
