A/R: Suspected Robbery and Gang Rape Syndicate Apprehended in Juaso

A suspected robbery and gang-rape syndicate has been busted at Juaso in the Ashanti Region, with six suspects currently in police custody.
They have been identified as David Adusah, Samuel Amantor, Andrew Odei, Sharif Mohammed, Joseph Addo, and Chidi Arinze.
They were arrested on January 8, 2026.
“The Ashanti South Regional Police Command, through an intelligence-led operation, has arrested six suspects believed to be members of a robbery and gang rape syndicate operating in Juaso in the Ashanti Region.”
According to a police statement, searches conducted at the suspects’ residences led to the retrieval of 49 mobile phone covers, a bayonet case, a green outfit resembling a military uniform, and a photograph showing the alleged leader of the group dressed in military-style camouflage.
The police also impounded a Toyota RAV4 vehicle, believed to be used by the group during their operations.
“During interrogation, the suspects admitted their involvement in the reported cases.”
They were arraigned on January 12, 2026, and remanded into custody to reappear on January 28, 2026, to allow the police to complete investigations.
“The Ghana Police Service assures the public that investigations are ongoing, and all persons found culpable will be made to face the full rigours of the law.”
