A Nation Without Prophecy Is Doomed; Prophet Gaisie Hits Back At Dampare
Founder of Prophetic Hill chapel, Prophet Nigel Gaisie has opposed the directive of the Ghana Police Service to be measured in communicating prophecies, especially duting the fast-approaching 31st December Watch night.
Some Christians in Ghana mark 31st December nights with a vigil of prayer and prophetic- with some of the prophecies sending shivers down the spine.
This had been the tradition since time immemorial; however, since the assumption of power by Inspector-General George Akufo Dampare, this has been minimal following a caution to religious leaders in December last year.
“We want to caution that under Ghanaian law, it is a crime for a person to publish or reproduce a statement, rumour or report which is likely to cause fear and alarm to the public or to disturb the public peace, where that person has no evidence to prove that the statement, rumour or report is true,” the police warned in a statement issued on Monday, December 27, 2021.
“It is also a crime for a person, by means of electronic communications service, to knowingly send a communication that is false or misleading and likely to prejudice the efficiency of life-saving service or to endanger the safety of any person,” the statement signed by Superintendent Alexander Obeng, the Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service, explained.
“A person found guilty under these laws could be liable to a term of imprisonment of up to five years”, it added.
Ahead of the observation of this year’s vigil, another communique cautioning against such prophecies has hit social media.
“Whereas we have the right to practise our faith in religion, freedom of worship and speech, this right must not be exercised in violation of the rights of others and the public interest”, a part of a statement from the Service on 27 December 2022, read.
This has not gone down well with the leader of the Prophetic Hill chapel.
In a series of social media posts, he justified the essence of prophecies in the life of a nation.
“A nation without a prophetic word is doomed! An individual without a prophetic word is a disaster in WAITING **…..Let the prophets speak by the inspiration of the Holy spirit”,
In another, he posted a child whom he said was a result of a prophecy.
“The parents were looking for a baby for years, they came to my church, they receive a PROPHETIC WORD FROM ME AND THE PICTURE BELOW IS THE EVIDENCE *….Ghana Police Allow The Prophets To Prophesy**Every true prophecy from God most often does not make human sense at the beginning but the end ANSWERS IT ALL’and no nation can succeed without Prophetism. #31ST NIGHT OF PROPHCIES”
