A Glimpse into Outlined Activities Marking Kumasi Evangel Choir-Ghana’s 14th Anniversary

The Kumasi Evangel Choir-Ghana has outlined a year-long celebratory event to mark fourteen years of choral excellence, ministry, and service through sacred music this year.

May

The anniversary celebration will commence in May with a joint musical programme featuring Tamale Youth Choir.

This special collaboration will bring together two vibrant choirs from Northern and Southern Ghana in a unique expression of unity, worship, and musical fellowship.

The Choir will that same month travel to Sweden to participate in GhanaFest, where it will represent Ghana by sharing the richness of Ghanaian traditional music and culture with the international community and the Ghanaian diaspora.

July
In July, the Choir will host a major charity event dubbed Total Praise as part of the official launch of its 15th Anniversary celebrations.

The event will feature The Kumasi Evangel Choir-Ghana alongside some of Ghana’s leading gospel artistes, promising an evening of powerful worship and musical excellence while drawing public attention and support to the needs of children undergoing cancer treatment.

September
In September, the Kumasi Evangel Choir-Ghana will participate in the Interkultur Choir Festival in Magdeburg, Germany, an internationally respected choral event that gathers choirs from across the globe.

Following this engagement, the Choir will embark on a United States Tour to further extend its ministry and cultural outreach.

December
The year’s activities will culminate in December with the Royal Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, a cherished musical and liturgical celebration that combines scripture readings with traditional carols to reflect on the message of the Christmas season.

Through these activities, the Kumasi Evangel Choir-Ghana intends to reaffirm its commitment to worship, musical excellence, and social impact.

“The Choir invites the general public, corporate organisations, partners, and media houses to support and participate in this anniversary celebration and charitable mission,” it said in a statement.

Since its formation, the Choir has dedicated its voice to worship, musical excellence, and community service while projecting Ghana’s choral heritage to audiences across the world.
