A-G to Meet ORAL Committee

The Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Dominic Ayine has announced plans to meet the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee.

The meeting, according to him, is set for Monday, January 27, 2025.

The principal agenda of the meeting is to review the information acquired so far by the committee for the needed action.

“The ORAL committee and I will be meeting somewhere next week most likely on Monday and I will be briefed by them in respect of what they have gathered so far and I will take over the information that they have,” he said after his swearing-in as Minister on January 22.

President John Dramani Mahama on December 18 unveiled a five-member committee tasked with recovering state revenue lost to corruption and holding perpetrators accountable when his administration begins.

The Committee, known as the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Team, is headed by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for the North Tongu Constituency.

In a statement on December 18, 2024, the spokesperson of the Mahama transition team, Felix Ofosu Kwakye said this was in honour of promises made.

Other members are Daniel Domelovo, Former Auditor-General, COP (Rtd.) Nathaniel Kofi Boakye, Mr Martin Kpebu, a Private Legal Practitioner and Mr Raymond Archer, an Investigative Journalist.
