NPP: “You Don’t Need To Win Election To serve The Party”: Techiman MP

Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, Member of Parliament for Techiman South Constituency in the Bono East region who doubles as a deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralization, and Rural Development has charged NPP members who contested in the ongoing internal elections but lost that, “serving a party doesn’t mean you should win elections or have a position”.

Hon. Adjei-Mensah Korsah in an exclusive interview sighted by Opemsuo.com noted that “what NPP needs is to break the eight in 2024 therefore all party faithful should put their personal interest aside and fight for Mother Ghana.

“As a party, let’s unite irrespective of who won or lost the contest. You don’t have to win an election before you serve your party. We have thousands of people supporting the party but they don’t have any position in the party”

For his part, Mr. Muniru Tanko the newly elected Chairman for Techiman South NPP said he aims at empowering the grassroots in order to break the eight.

“We are winning 2024 elections because, in our party, the polling station executives are the foundation of the party, if you carefully lay your foundation well, you will be able to build a strong house. In the next 3 months, I will organize training for our polling stations executives, it will help to mobilise the grassroots effectively”.

Meanwhile, Dr. Stephen Appiagyei Donkor (a journalist and CEO of Gifax Company & Globe TV) the newly elected Techiman North NPP Chairman pledged to unite the party in order to recapture the Parliamentary seat which was lost to the NDC in 2020.

“I thank you for believing in me that I can change the fortunes of NPP in Techiman North, I stand on behalf of my fellow victors of this election to thank you all. I promise to work with all those who didn’t win the contest.”
