Rapper Medikal Found Guilty, Fined GHc3,600

An Accra Circuit has awarded rapper Samuel Adu Frimpong known as Medikal, a fine of GHC3,600, or serve nine (9) months in prison in default after he was found guilty of displaying firearms and ammunition.

The judgement was read out by the court headed by His Honour Emmanuel Essandoh after the rapper changed his plea.

The rapper had earlier pleaded not guilty to displaying arms and ammunition in a public place, however, today in court, Medikal changed his plea.

He was arrested in October 2021 for brandishing firearms in a viral video on social media.

Following his arrest, he was remanded for five days after which he was granted bail in the sum of GHC100,000 with one surety.
