CLOGSAG Calls Off One Day Old Strike
The National Executive Council (NEC) of Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) has called off the association’s one-day-old industrial action.
This follows a review of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government and the CLOGSAG at a meeting on Thursday, January 21, 2022, the group said.
“The National Executive Council (NEC) of CLOGSAG) has therefore decided to call off the strike”, it announced in a statement signed by Isaac Bampoe Addo, the Executive Secretary of CLOGSAG.
Members are directed to organise themselves and resume work on Monday, January 24, 2022.
“We are grateful to all our members for their support and the print and electronic media for the coverage of our activities”, it added.
CLOGSAG declared an industrial action effective Thursday, January 20, 2022, over their poor conditions of service.
“By this letter, all CLOGSAG members in the Ministries, Departments, and Agencies as well as the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies are informed to stay at home from Thursday 20th, January 2022until further notice”, the statement said.
