Prez Akufo Addo Recalls Ghana’s Peace Achievement, Calls For Preservation
The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has urged Ghanaians to hold fast and dear, the peace, reigning in the country and recognized globally.
He recollected that the 2021 Global Peace Index (GPI) recognized Ghana as the most peaceful country across the whole of the West African bloc.
He posted, “Let’s continue to maintain the peace we have in Ghana ”
The report showcased Ghana as the second most peaceful country in Africa after Mauritius which ranks as the 28th most peaceful country in the world.
However, globally, Ghana ranked 38th with a score of 1.715.
Globally, Ghana was ahead of countries like the United States of America (USA), China, South Korea, The United Arab Emirate (UAE), France, South Africa, etc.
The most peaceful country globally in 2021 was Iceland.
Global Peace Index (GPI) is a report produced by the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) annually, which measures the relative position of nations’ and regions’ peacefulness.
