Kotoko CEO: I Will Never Work For Hearts
Nana Yaw Amponsah has emphatically ruled himself out of any agreement with Accra Hearts of Oak when his mandate at Kumasi-based Asante Kotoko expires.
The 38-year-old Chief Executive Officer of the Porcupine warriors noted that the new life the Kotoko Sporting Club has imbibed in him will hinder him from nurturing the club’s prime rival.
He has decided to rather work with Accra Great Olympics when the clarion call sounds.
“If after delivering my mandate with Kotoko, Olympics call me, I will go; but I won’t go to Hearts of Oak. I will never go for Hearts. Kotoko is such that it imbibes a spirit in you and from what I have experienced, I don’t think it’s possible. It’s not possible”, he said.
That, notwithstanding, does not keep him from admiring the Phobians. He says he loves them for their upper hand against the media, one thing he said Kotoko has not succeeded at.
“They don’t allow the media to trounce their club. Their defense mechanisms towards media agenda against their club are quite admirable”, he noted.
