Court Remands ‘NPP Head Slasher’

The Cocoase Magistrate Court in the Eastern Region has remanded Samuel Kofi Adjei, popularly known as Jamalo, who allegedly inflicted cutlass wound on the head of the NPP’s grass root communicator, Kwasi Amoani.
The incident which has been condemned by many transpired on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at a funeral ceremony where some New Patriotic Party (NPP) members clashed.
Following this, the Suhum Police launched investigations into the incident and sought for Kofi Adjei who was also alleged to be the driver of the Member of Parliament for Suhum constituency.
The MP has however denied that claim.
Yesterday, September 1, Kofi Adjei reported himself to the police, accompanied by an NPP executive and was arraigned before the Cocoase Magistrate Court presided over by Justice Eric Denin.
The court adjourned the case to Tuesday, September 7, 2021, for a decision on the accused’s application for bail.
