Teenage Suspect Confesses To Killing A Pregnant Woman
Monday, August 16, Kaneshie Magistrate Court, presided over by Justice Rosemond Dodua Agyiri, hearing the case involving alleged murder of 11-year-old Ismael Abdalla, became the site of emotional drama.
Two teenagers, 19-year-old Nicholas Kini and 16-year-old Felix Nyarko were arrested for allegedly killing Ishmael Abdalla on Saturday, April 3, 2021 and burying him in an uncompleted building at Kasoa.
During court proceedings, after Felix Nyarko mounted the witness box, he admitted to the crime and noted that it was conceived and administered by he and Nicholas after he saw a tv advert on money ritual.
He noted that they lured Ishmael to the spot (uncompleted building) where they smashed him to the ground with a club and proceeded to end his life with a brick.
According to Felix, Ishmael, asked him “why are you doing this to me, your friend’ when they raised the brick to finish him off”.
He added that together with Nicholas, they killed a pregnant woman some time ago for money ritual.
Nicholas Kini however denied his involvement in the crime and said he was being implicated by Felix because of his relationship with him.
The Justice found the testimony of Nicholas to be inconsistent with that of the police and relegated the case to the high court for sittings on September 20, 2021.
19 exhibits were presented before the court including the caution statement, charge sheet, implements used in the act which include shovel, club, cement bricks and photographs of the crime scene.
