Hundreds Of People Take Part In Opemsuo Radio’s Free Health Screening
Hundreds of people within and outside the Kumasi Metropolis thronged to Manhyia Palace to take part in the Opemsuo Radio’s Free Health Screening on Saturday, May 1, 2021.
Beneficiaries hand their blood pressure, breast, prostate checked as well as their eyes, sugar level and others under strict COVID-19 protocols.
The free health screening forms part of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s 22 years of enstoolment, 71st birthday and Opemsuo Radio first anniversary.
The exercise was aimed at bringing quality healthcare to the doorsteps of the people within and around Kumasi Metropolis.
Speaking to Opemsuo.com, the Chief Executive Officer of Opemsuo Radio who is also the Deputy Protocol Officer for Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Emmanuel Osei Sarfo, said the highly revered King remains committed to providing good leadership that will serve as a conduit for development to his people.
“Otumfuo Osei Tutu II remains committed to bringing good leadership that will ensure massive development in Asanteman and Ghana as a whole.”
According to him, over 200 people benefited from the exercise and looking forward to more projects that will be beneficial to all and sundry.
“Over 200 people benefited from the exercise which is a good sign. We are looking forward to bringing more projects that will beneficial to our people.”
In an interview, one of the people who benefited from the exercise, Akua Abrafi Anokye, was extremely grateful to Opemsuo Radio for this important initiative.
“But for Opemsuo Radio, some of us would have never had the time or the money to go to the hospital for this check-up especially the breast and cervical cancers. I am particularly happy to see a lot of aged and women here.”
The highly-rated program was done in partnership with Peace and Love Hospital.
