Sarfo Taylor And Six Others To Miss Techiman Eleven Wonders Game

The Porcupines will start a life in the second round of the Ghana Premier League without some of its key players as they travel to Techiman to play Eleven Wonders.

Asante Kotoko coach Mariano Barreto who has returned to Ghana after seventeen years is expected to man the Kotoko bench for the first time in today’s game.

But the Portuguese is ‘slapped’ with injuries which have caused his six key players to miss this important game.

Midfielder Kwame Adom Frimpong has been ruled out of today’s game due to an injury he picked at the training. The industrious midfielder is expected to return from injury next week.

Youngster Emmanuel Sarkodie who played a pivotal role for Asante Kotoko in the first round is also missing today’s game following a slight injury.

Strikers, Solomon Sarfo Taylor and Michael Vinicius are also out of the game due to match fitness. The duo is expected to man Kotoko’s final third to get the goals for the Porcupines, but supporters of the club have to wait for a while due to match fitness.

Another forward whose performance at the training grounds has been impressive but will miss today’s match is Evans Adomako.

Striker, Osman Ibrahim and midfielder, Emmanuel Kayekeh are still out of today’s league match against Techiman Eleven Wonders. The duo started stunningly in the first round, but injury halted them along the way in the first round.

Experience tactician Mariano Barreto is expected to start on a glittering note with Asante Kotoko this afternoon at the Ohene Ameyaw Park.

The Ghanaian giants is occupying the 4th position with 27 points.
