Press Statement: NDC Set To Contest December 7 General Election Results In Supreme Court

The National Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at their meeting today have resolved to use appropriate avenues to contest 2020 December 7 General elections.


According to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the results of the election have been rigged and will use all legitimate actions to contest.
After Elections, New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo won the tightly contested 2020 election.

He polled 6,730, 413 which is 51.59% of the total votes cast nationwide on December 7.
His closest contender, John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) polled 6, 214, 889 which gives him 47.36% of the total votes cast.

But According to the biggest opposition party National Democratic Congress, the Electoral Commission rigged the election to favour the New Patriotic Party.

In the press statement released today, the NDC underscored the need to use legitimate actions including protestation to press home its demand for the Government of President Akufo-Addo to enforce the rule of law and protect life and property in Ghana.
