Executive Council Member Frederick Acheampong Confident Black Stars Will Qualify For 2021 AFCON
Ghana Football Association Executive Council member, Frederick Acheampong, is confident that Black Stars will secure qualification despite defeat to Sudan.
The Male Senior National team, Black Stars lost 1-0 in Omdurman after conceding a 92nd-minute goal by Abdelrahman Mohamed.
Black Stars have been in sublime form throughout the qualifiers with three straight wins, but fell to Sudan. Even a draw against the North Africans would have ensured early qualification to Cameroon. (Ambien)
Speaking on Opemsuo 104.7 FM evening sports show, Pramaso, astute Journalist cum football administrator, Frederick Acheampong disclosed that Ghana played the double-header under a very difficult condition.
“The two games against Sudan were played under a very difficult condition, however, qualification will never elude the Black Stars.”
He continued, “with the two matches left, I have confident that the Black Stars will secure qualification. The situation is not difficult because a win in the two matches left will land us in Cameroon.”
Coach Charles Kwabla Ackonnor and his charges will have to avoid defeat against Sao Tome and Principe and Cameroon to book their ticket for AFCON 21.
