Nana Akufo-Addo Suspends Political Campaign Activities
The President of Ghana has announced suspension of all his political campaign activities for the next seven(7) days.
This follows the demise of the former president of Ghana, His Excellency Jerry John Rawlings on Thursday 12th November, 2020
According to a release issued and signed by the president, this decision is in honour of the memory of the late J. J. Rawlings.
Within the seven(7) days, the statement says there will be national mourning for the late president.
” I have directed that all national flags should fly a half mask for the next seven(7) days in all parts of the country and have declared seven(7) days mourning from Friday, 13th November to Friday, 20th November.”
” In honour of the memory of the former president Rawlings, the vice president and I have suspended our political campaign for the same period”, the statement indicated.
