COVID-19 Still Exist, Wear Your Masks Always, Dr. Anthony Nsiah-Asare Admonishes
Presidential Adviser on health, Dr. Anthony Nsiah-Asare, admonished Ghanaians not to grow weary in wearing nose masks as a part of the protocols to combat the novel COVID-19 pandemic.
Observations of the COVID-19 protocols seem to be fading out due to the exponential drop of the number of people contracting the disease.
Nonetheless, Dr. Nsiah-Asare insists people should not ignore observing the protocols because the pandemic is yet living with us.
“COVID-19 pandemic has not left us. It still exists so people should continue to wear their nose masks as part of the measures to combat the spread of the pandemic,” said Dr. Anthony Nsiah-Asare in an exclusive interview on Opemsuo 104.7 FM morning show, Nkwantannanso hosted by George Opoku Mensah Aguddey.
“It is surprising how people have been unwilling to put on the mask especially. We can’t behave as though we are free from the pandemic. We should be responsible,” he added.
The Ghana Health Service says Ghana now has 566 active cases of Covid-19 after 64 new infections were reported on October 27.
According to the latest update on the Service’s website, Ghana has since March recorded 48,055 cases of the Coronavirus disease with 47,169 recoveries/discharges.
The Service also said some 320 deaths have been recorded.
