Date For Kotoko Players To Report In Kumasi Revealed
Asante Kotoko players have been told to report in Kumasi on Wednesday 23rd September, 2020 to start preparations ahead of the CAF Champions League competition.
The President of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo yesterday in his 17th Address to the Nation on the update of novel COVID-19 pandemic announced for the resumption of football on 30th October, 2020.
And Asante Kotoko has informed the players to report to earnestly start full-scale training session for both CAF Champions League and the Ghana Premier League.
According to information available to Opemsuo.com, the players will go through mandatory COVID-19 test before they will commence training at the Adako Jachie training grounds.
The Executive Council at their meeting on June 30, 2020 decided that per the relevant provisions of the CAF inter-club football Regulations, Asante Kotoko SC and AshGold SC will represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League and the Confederations Cup respectively.
The preliminary round of matches of CAF inter-club competitions will kick-off from 27th November.
However, first registration period will start from 21st October to 10th November, 2020.
