Full Report On Offinso Juvenile Club Tragic Accident
Apart from the driver and the mate who are currently at Offinso St. Patrick Hospital receiving treatment, 6 out of the 20 boys (players) who were also sent there are dead, 14 are receiving treatment.
10 of of the boys (players) were also sent to SDA Hospital; 4 of them have been discharged and the remaining 6 receiving treatment.
Also, 4 of the boys (players) who were in critical condition were sent to Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital; 1 of them died on arrival, the remaining 3 are receiving treatment.
Five twins were in the car (a total of ten brothers)
Three out of the 5 twins lost their pair (so out of the ten brothers, 6 are dead)
There were 2 officials, 34 players including the driver and the mate; in total, there were 38 people in the bus.
The owner of the team, Augustine Mensah is a teacher at Offinso; he was also with the team.
The team (Africa Vision Soccer Academy) was formed in 2015.
The juvenile team were headed to Afrancho having undergone their District Colts football registration exercise at Offinso yesterday before the vehicle conveying them submerged.
Currently, the juvenile clubs registration has been put on hold till further notice as a result of the incident.
