Football Must Be a Safe and Enjoyable Experience- Kotoko and Hearts

Asante Kotoko SC and Hearts of Oak FC have taken a position against violence and hooliganism in the country’s top-tier league.
According to the two powerhouses, the game must be a safe and enjoyable venture and not one that endangers players, supporters and officials.
As such, they have called for the adoption of enhanced security protocols and other measures.
“Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko are urging the adoption of enhanced security protocols and other measures, and are eager to collaborate with all relevant stakeholders, including the Government, the GFA, law enforcement agencies, and dedicated supporters. Their shared goal is to ensure that football remains a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.”
The two clubs are also preparing a detailed position paper for the Ghana Football Association (GFA), emphasizing crucial recommendations to elevate the Ghana Premier League.
The Management of the two clubs held a strategic meeting in Accra, to engage in a thorough discussion on key issues facing the league.
It comes after Nana Pooley, a die-hard Asante Kotoko fan, was stabbed to death at Nsoatre during a game between Asante Kotoko SC and Nsoatreman on February 2, 205.
