Sam George, Ablakwa, Muntaka Nominated as Communication, Foreign Affairs and Interior Ministers
President John Dramani Mahama has nominated 11 new sector Ministers, three Ministers of State and three persons for the remaining regions.
He named 13 regional Ministers-designate last week.
Among the nominated sector Ministers are the Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampam, Sam George nominated the Minister-designate for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation; the MP for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa as Minister-designate for Foreign Affairs; and the MP for Asawase, Muntaka Mubarak as Minister-designate for Interior.
Others on the list include Patrick Omane Boamah as Minister for Defence, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah as Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Kofi Adams for Minister for Sports and Recreation; and Abdul-Rashid Pelpuo as Minister for Labour, Jobs and Employment.
Also nominated are Kwabena Mintah Akandoh as Minister for Health, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed as Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, Joseph Bukari as Minister for Transport and Adjei Kenneth Gilbert as Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources.
Meanwhile, the President has nominated Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum as Minister of State in charge of Special Initiatives, Felix Ofosi Kwakye as Minister of State in charge of Government Communications and Issifu Seidu as Minister of State in charge of Climate Change and Sustainability.
The nominated Regional ministers are Puozuing Charles Lwanga as UpperWest Regional Minister, Joseph Addae Akwaboah as Bono Regional Minister and Francis Owusu Antwi as Bono East Regional Minister.
These names, a statement issued by the Presidency said, have been submitted to the Parliament for vetting and approval.
