I Don’t Regret; Nigerian Gospel Musician after Beheading Girlfriend

Nigerian gospel musician, Timileyin Ajayi says he has no regrets after allegedly beheading his girlfriend over allegations of cheating.

The suspect was arrested on Sunday, January 12 with the severed head of 24-year-old Salome Adaidu.

In a viral interview with the media, he admitted to committing the crime with the justification that the deceased was cheating on him with multiple men.

“She was cheating,” he answered when questioned about the motivation behind his conduct.

Asked how he found out, he retorted, “I saw her phone… I saw most of the chat with the other guys.”

He then asserted, “I don’t have any regret. I don’t because love is reciprocal. That’s what I thought. If you have to be with someone, you have to be reciprocal with that person. You have to understand what the person is going through so that you can actually put yourself in the position he is going through. That is why I don’t have any regrets.”

After finding out, he said he confronted her. She initially denied it but admitted when he provided her phone chats as proof, he said.

“I caught her cheating on me and so I brought it to her awareness that she was cheating. She denied it, she didn’t want to accept until I showed her the chat and then she admitted and told me she was sorry and it was never going to happen again.”

When it appeared nerves had been calmed, that was when he struck.

“I took the knife from the restroom and went in to her. She was lying with her head down. I held her neck and I did what I had to do.”
