I’ll Help Dumelo in Women and Children Affairs- Mrs Dumelo

The wife of the Member of Parliament for Ayawso West Wuogon, John Dumelo says she will avail herself to help her husband serve and discharge his duties to his constituents.

In an interview at the inauguration ceremony of President John Dramani Mahama at the Independence Square in Accra on January 7, 2025, Gifty Dumelo expressed her elation over her husband’s accomplishment.

“I’m very excited for him. This is a new journey and of course, I’m very excited for him.”

She plans to lend a helping hand to her husband by taking on the responsibility of women and children in the constituency.

“I would focus on the women and children mainly because I am very passionate about that just to take some loads off him.”

Dumelo won the 2024 Parliamentary Primary in the constituency with 59.7% of the total votes (40,561 votes) over his contender the New Patriotic Party’s Lydia Seyram Alhassan who secured 40.3% ( 27,377 votes).
