Atasamanso Assemblyman Fulfills Campaign Promise with New Bridge
Hon. Abdul Samed, popularly known as Opele, the Assemblyman for the Atasamanso electoral area, has successfully constructed a new bridge to serve his constituents.
During an interview with Opemsuo Radio’s Adwoa Serwaa Yonkodo, Hon. Opele explained that while campaigning, he identified the previous bridge as a dangerous death trap, particularly during the rainy season when rising water levels made crossing hazardous.
He pledged to replace it if elected, and he has now delivered on that promise.
Hon. Opele shared that he collaborated with the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly planner, whose support was instrumental in completing the project.
He reassured residents of his commitment to addressing the challenges they face, emphasizing that their welfare remains his priority.
Community members and unit committee representatives expressed their appreciation for his dedication to fulfilling his promise.
They also urged him to initiate more developmental projects to enhance the area further.
Atasamanso Nkosuohene, Nana Osei Okuradom, representing Atasamansohene Nana Ama Achwia Atasamanso Abuosohemaa, applauded Hon. Opele’s efforts.
He noted that the old bridge had caused numerous incidents and hardships and promised to oversee the maintenance of the new structure to ensure its durability.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Hon. Kwadwo Boateng, Assemblyman for the Sokoban electoral area, representatives from the Santasi and Fankyenebra electoral areas and other unit committee members.
