E/R: Nine Arrested For Torching EC Office
The police have rounded nine individuals for an arson attack on the Electoral Commission (EC) office at Ayensuano in the Eastern Region.
This brings to 106, the total number of arrests made in connection with the post-election violence across the country.
In a press statement issued on December 10, the police said “The Ghana Police Service has arrested 9 suspects in connection with the setting ablaze of the Electoral Commission office at Ayensuano in the Eastern Region.”
The suspects together with others are currently undergoing due legal processes and assisting in investigations.
“All suspects are in custody assisting the Police investigation, and they will be made to face justice,” it assured.
Meanwhile, the police reiterated its commitment to the protection of communities to maintain law and order.
