2024 Elections: Napo Casts Vote
The Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, affectionately called Napo, has cast his vote in today’s Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
Earlier on Saturday morning at the Apagyafie Polling Station in the Manhyia South Constituency, the reigning Member of Parliament for the constituency and former Energy Minister cast his vote.
He was surrounded by his wife, mother and sister when he exercised his franchise.
In an interview with Opemsuo Radio’s Kwame Awuah Nimfour, Dr Opoku Prempeh urged electorates to go out and vote.
“We urge all registered voters to go out in their numbers and vote,” he briefly said.
Today’s election will see 18,774,159 registered voters voting in 40,648 polling stations in 276 Constituencies.
Twelve Presidential candidates are scrambling for power. They are Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, an Independent Candidate, Christian Kwabena Andrews of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Daniel Augustus Lartey Jnr of the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP) and George Twum-Barima-Adu,
an Independent Candidate.
The rest are Nana Kwame Bediako, an Independent Candidate, Hassan Abdulai Ayariga of the All People’s Congress (APC), Kofi Akpaloo of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Mohammed Frimpong of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Nana Akosua Frimpomaa of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) and Kofi Koranteng, an Independent Candidate.
