KNUST: Asantehene Commissions Library Complex, Staff Bungalows, Others
The Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has commissioned four facilities for use at the institution.
Assisted by the Chairman of the Governing Council of the university, His Lordship Justices Anin Yeah and the Vice Chancellor, Prof Mrs Rita Akosua Dickson, he officially cut the ribbon for the use of the facilities to begin on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
The projects included the Regional Transport Research and Educational Centre (TRECK) building, the 10-level lecture halls and office complex for the College of Arts and Built Environment, a five-storey library complex and Junior and Senior Staff Bungalows at Botanical Gardens Road.
The Asantehene also cut the sod for the construction of a proposed Institute of Rural Development and Innovation Studies (IRDIS) office building.
This exercise was on the sidelines of the 58th Congregation of the University held on November 30.
