Take a Lesson From My Former Love Affair- Michy
Entrepreneur and singer Diamond Michelle Gbagonah popularly known as Michy believes her life and past amorous relationship with dancehall artiste Shatta Wale is lesson enough for her fellow women to take cue from.
Her experience, she indicated, has shaped her perception and preference for current and future relationships.
The mother of one is now determined to avoid controversies and keep her relationship out of public view as was seen in her immediate past one as a sure way to keep it secure.
“I don’t want a public relationship again,” she said in an interview with Nana Romeo.
“You need to be very discerning to be able to manage a public relationship and this goes to the two parties. It’s not a work for one party.”
She recognises that “When it’s pubic, everyone has a say on it and I think that’s a major problem.”
“I can’t advise. My life is an advice. What didn’t we do on social media so if you don’t take lessons from it, it’s up to you. What showcase haven’t I been to in Ghana and this is us after years later. I won’t go into it because everyone understands it.”
Michy also believes a public relationship isn’t healthy for sustenance.
“You owe yourself your own validation. The validation of a man isn’t what makes you a human. Even though it’s nice. I’m in a relationship but I don’t want to post it for you to come snatch him. Never again.”
The couple, Shatta Wale and Michy, split in 2019 after years together. They share a son together.
At the time, Michy said their break-up was divine.
Meanwhile in a recent podcast, Shatta Wale said he believed Michy was not appreciative of all his efforts.
