Scoliosis Foundation to Offer Free Surgeries
The Scoliosis Foundation Ghana is providing an opportunity for individuals aged 12 to 20 to receive free scoliosis surgery in the United States, with applications open from November to December 2024. Children below 12 years may also contact the foundation.
In an interview on Opemsuo Radio’s Nkwantannanso with Kofi Boakye, Foundation representative Mr Prince Acheampong emphasised that this initiative is part of the foundation’s ongoing mission to improve the lives of those affected by scoliosis, a condition with significant physical and emotional challenges.
“We are looking for children between the ages of 12 to 20. We will take them to the USA for free surgery… That’s why we are announcing this to the public—if you know someone with scoliosis or have scoliosis yourself, reach out to us. It is free.”
Previously, the foundation facilitated successful surgeries in Ghana. Now, by expanding this opportunity to the United States, the foundation aims to reach more individuals in need, allowing them access to life-changing treatment without financial burden.
