8 Mpraeso SHS Students Allegedly Rape Female Student

A 16-year-old general arts female student (name withheld) of Mpraeso Senior High School in the Eastern Region has allegedly been raped by eight male students.

Five out of the eight boys were arrested this week after the mother of the victim made a formal complaint to the Nkwatia Divisional Police Command.

The remaining three, however, are at large.

Attempt to speak with the headmaster, James Affadu proved futile, yet he has confirmed the incident in an audio cited by Onua News.

The incident according to him, occurred on October 6; however, his absence at the time of the incident motivated a delay in reporting it to the Police.

He further revealed in the said audio that all the suspects had been dismissed from the school with the case in the process of being forwarded to the Ghana Education Service (GES) for further investigation.

Meanwhile, Madam Owusua the mother of the form two female student in an interview on Onua FM, Wednesday, October 16 revealed her daughter recounted the series of events that led to her discovery of the evil committed against her daughter.

According to her, the victim called her via phone to request she come to the school immediately which she did on Monday, October 14 only to be told her daughter had been raped.

She immediately reported the incident to Mpraeso Police Station leading to the apprehension of the five suspects.

Madam Owusua confirmed that her daughter’s health was stable after receiving medical attention.

She however wants justice served.
